When I was a kid I loved to go to used auto sales. I dreamed about getting the perfect car, you see, so looking at used cars for sale was a lot of fun. The perfect car for me was the classic 1968 Corvette. I could not get enough of old Corvettes, or Mustangs for that matter. Muscle cars ruled my world. Every time I would see a Trading Times advertising used cars for sale, I would pick it up. My daddy was happy to see me getting into cars.
When I was 15 I went to my first used auto sale it was a police auction. I knew that, as soon as I was 16, I would be able to get a drivers license. I also knew that my parents wouldn’t help me out. Therefore I had been working a job for a few years, saving up money for used auto sales. I would have to buy a used car with my own money. I wanted to buy a car as soon as I could.
Strangely enough, I did not get my first car at one of those used auto sales. I ended up buying a car from a friend. He was a family friend who had been fixing cars for years, and he had some great old muscle cars that were in reasonable condition. It cost practically every penny that I had, but I ended up getting a rest bucket Trans Am. It did not exactly drive like a dream, but I really loved that car.
Nowadays, I am an auto mechanic and I run my own used auto sales. You see, I have a used car lot of my own. The neat thing about used cars is that everything is open for negotiation. I like making deals with people, and trying to find the right thing for the right customers. Working at the used car lot really lets me do that. I am happy because I make money on the used auto sales, and the customers are happy to get the best deal they can.
